I recently purchased the new book "World of Faerie" by Brian Froud. Its a huge book with many gorgeous and never before seen paintings in it.
As I am in Australia I had to wait forever for it to be shipped, but well worth the wait.

Sat, April 5, 2008 - 2:28 PMWell I am an artist myself you can see some of my faery and fantasy art at www.artwanted.com/susanrodio
and I am familiar with some Aussie Fantasy artist though it seems there is only a small group of us here and no where near as big as in the US.
I was just talking to another Faery artist the other day who commented that in OZ we dont have those faery festivals and things like what they have in the US and UK.
That said if you go out to the rainforests and other places like that in Australia, you will feel the magic of the place so faery magic is definitely alive - not sure how it compares to the UK. I think the faery vibe is more intense in the Glens of the UK. -

Re: World of Faerie Book
Wed, April 9, 2008 - 1:54 PMI am tempted to have "Instructions" framed. I love that Neil Gaiman poem, and was excited when I found it in the pocket in the World of Faerie book. Now I can't decide if it should be on the wall or stay hidden for people to discover it as they browse the book.
